Randoseru can be categorized into two main types: workshop-made and mass-produced. Workshop-made randoseru often utilize high-quality natural leathers, such as cordovan and cowhide, which provide durability and a luxurious feel. Brands like Yamamoto excel in this area, showcasing traditional techniques such as edge coating and kizami in their production processes.

In contrast, mass-produced randoseru are generally lighter and more affordable, using synthetic leather options. While they may sacrifice some level of craftsmanship, these bags cater to budget-conscious families and those seeking practicality over tradition.
